These are offered as a sampling of the 24 pages in this book. Some images are appropriated from magazines but since this book is for private use and won't be sold I consider it allowable under the umbrella of collage. I'm pretty careful about not using other people's photos or art because I wouldn't want it done to me. When the book is bound I'll do a video if I have time next week.
Very cool! I love the way it looks!!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your journals. And I agree - for private use there are no rules. Plus I like you 5, 10 and 30 minute challenges! Great stuff here Jo. Have a fabulous trip.
ReplyDeleteLove these journals, do you have one for yourself ready for your trip?
ReplyDeleteCan I ask what sewing machine you use? I need to take the plunge & get a new one - I owe it to myself to have a little more than a straight stitch on a 70's lookalike machine!
Emma, yes I do have one ready for my trip, though now that I've made this one I'm wishing that my travel journal was made this way.
ReplyDeleteI'm a long time sewer and lover of Bernina sewing machines. I sew on a 1230 that I've had for perhaps 20 years. The old ones are the best ones! I bought my grandchildren a Bernette 56 which is an entry level machine and works okay for this sort of sewing, but if you are sewing clothing and furnishings I'd advice a better model.
