Eastern Oregon
Here's the spread with a photo taken in Pendleton last May showing a wide landscape of fields and a big sky. I found just the right green washi paper to extend the grasses in the left foreground and other bits of papers to extend the fields on either side of my photo.
love the simplicity of this layout and how you extended your photo. very cool. Also got to tell you I love the page you posted previously, all that wide open spaces and blue sky, beautiful page.
ReplyDeleteI love the extended photos too. This collage book is taking shape in a wonderful way.
ReplyDeleteOh that is beautiful! I love the grass extension - Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI so love the way you've included both photo and paining..I am going to try this with some recent camping photos..so THANK YOU once again for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments. Once again you've made my day by taking the time to write.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've played with this method of working with photos, extending them with watercolor, drawing, and collage I'm thinking of other ways to use the technique. Of course I could use larger photos and bigger substrates... why not start with a quarter sheet of watercolor paper and an 8x10 photo? Or go the other way with my little Moleskine journal and start with a business card sized photo.
All ideas are welcome. Let's talk about this some more.
I love the addition of paper to this photo!
